Our trainer Drew Fulmer claimed a horse about a week ago. She is a 3 year old filly named Twilightinpriddis. We decided to run her again on only 6 days rest and she was magnificent. She could have won the race but was pushed wide by another horse in the stretch. It was just when she was picking up her stride and she was flying. Well, that’s horse racing for you. It’s also why the Irish say the best horse doesn’t always win.
We were so happy that she didn’t get hurt. She was nearly knocked over. After the race, I went to the barn to see her. She was on the walker and seemed as happy and content as could be.
I was overwhelmed by her beautiful. She is one of the most beautiful fillies I have ever seen. I promise a picture soon after the holidays.
Well, she will turn 4 on January 1st but it was worth trying her out in a 3 year old race. It gave us a good opportunity to really watch her run. This was a wonderful gift for me this holiday season and I know she will prove to be a favorite in the barn. Watch for her, you’ll fall in love with her too.
