Time For New Blood

By this time at the end of the weekend, I hope to meet a few new equine friends. I am anxious to see a few new faces at the barn. There are two horses to pick from that I am interested in. One is a proven winner, but a little more mature than I like. I know that horse will win soon and be successful this year. I am unsure of his future.

The second horse is really nice to me. He is only four years old and has won three races. I think he is a better long term investment, but is still a work in progress. I see a longer career for him, but I am unsure of his immediate win potential.

My illustrious trainer said I can make the call. I have made some good and some bad choices in the past and am concerned about being the decision maker. When I asked a friend for his advise, he recomended the younger horse, but I already knew what he would say so asking his advise was self-fulfilling, I guess.

I will try to take a good look at both horses before I make the final decision. Good or bad, it is exciting and part of the game. Whatever decision is made, I promise to post pictures of my new addition and all particulars. Look for my post on Monday, March 2nd for more details.

In the meantime if anyone has any suggestions, I would be happy to hear from you.
