A sign of things to come

One of the oldest horses in Drew Fulmer’s barn ran today and won the race!  Hurray for Canard!  Canard is a 10-year old gelding and he is a real sweetie.  He loves attention and of course like the rest of the crew, he loves carrots.

He ran a magnificent race.  His jockey was Scott Stevens.  Stevens paced this old warrior in this long mile race and closed like the true competitor that he is.

As I had previously reported, our barn has seen some lean times in 2013 and we were anxious for the new year — The Year of the Horse!  With this first win of the new year for Drew Fulmer, I am confident that you will hear from me again and again about our successes!

This is a picture of Canard just chillin’.
