Urban Farming while waiting for my horses to return

Some of my horses are racing in California, others are at the farm having a vacation and if everything goes as planned, two more horses will be added to our barn. I can hardly wait to see my favorite, Tonight at Eleven, as well as the others which I hope you have met through my blog. I am also anxious to meet two new members of the crew.

In the meantime, planting season is here in Arizona and we renewed our Urban Farm. With the help of my daughter and her adoring boyfriend, we got the project underway. I never would have been able to do the planting without help this year. Getting older and more needy.

So, now just water and patience — oh and weeding of course and we should have a bumper crop. We planted corn and of course carrots — Also, celery, okra, spinach, lettuce, onions, leeks, peppers, beans, squash and whatever else. We will also add some tomato plants in a week or two when it cools a little more.
